Taking place across the two rooms of Maastricht’s Muziekgieterij venue, Pelagic Fest 2024 will be headlined by the labels founders and core team The Ocean who will also seize the opportunity for a belated ten year anniversary celebration of their 2013 album ‘Pelagial’. Joining them on the bill are special guest headliners: prog-metal trailblazer Ihsahn & Belfast post-rock luminaries And So I Watch You From Afar as well as artists from across the Pelagic roster including Oh Hiroshima, A Swarm Of The Sun, Psychonaut, LLNN, Årabrot and many more.
Founded in 2009 by post-metal spearheads The Ocean and their Berlin collective, Pelagic Records have gone on to become one of the most important voices in post-rock, post-metal and progressive / left-field heavy music working with the likes of MONO, Årabrot, Sugar Horse, Year If No Light, Bruit to name just a few. As the label turns fifteen in 2024, they’ve set their sights on establishing Pelagic Fest as an annual event - a regular opportunity to remove barriers and bring their artists & fans together for a true celebration of their music.
With previous Pelagic Fests taking place in Berlin, the label and their festival partners have carefully selected this new location with fans and artists in mind. Located in the heart of the border triangle of Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands, Maastricht is the ideal meeting point for the label, its esteemed roster and legions of fans.
Tickets for Pelagic Fest will go on sale 12PM CET, Friday 15th March.

Robin Staps, Founder Pelagic Records said:
“We’re excited to bring Pelagic Fest back this year. I have been looking for the right venue for this in Berlin for years and simply had to accept that it doesn’t exist. Muziekgieterij is an amazing well-wrought place catering to the needs of both artists and audience — a place that was built to be a venue, planned by acoustic architects and at the same time offers a nice environment to hang out, chat, browse through vinyl distro boxes and chill between the performances. While we‘re beyond stoked that we‘ve managed to put this lineup together, it goes without saying that sadly not every Pelagic artist can play this year… but that leaves something to look forward to for the coming years!”
