Pehuenche is the musical project of Mexican singer Rafael Mesa, whose work explores a personal journey of healing —a liberating process that evokes nostalgia and melancholy, ultimately serving as both a reflection of his humanity and a mirror for his listeners.

Pehuenche has performed at national and international festivals including SXSW (2021-2024), Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), Tecate Comuna, Machaca (2019), and Bahidorá (2023), among others.
He has released several singles, an EP, and his debut album 'Vida Ventura', published by Nacional Records. He is currently working on his second studio album, set to be released in 2025.
In 2022, Pehuenche was named a "Revelation Artist" by the LAMC Festival in New York. His song "Eso", , a duet with Mel Muniz, is featured in the new HBO Max original series "Like Water for Chocolate".
