About this Event
This small group is designed to empower teenagers by offering a supportive space where they can explore personal growth, set achievable goals, and foster self-confidence. Through a mix of interactive activities, discussions, and creative projects, participants will focus on setting S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound), building confidence, learning about available resources, and embracing healing strategies. The group will emphasize the importance of community connection, crafting, and self-care as tools for managing stress, developing healthy habits, and fostering personal well-being.
February 16 & 23rd- Registration is for both days.
Key Topics & Activities:
S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting:
- Learn how to break down large ambitions into practical, achievable steps.
- Practice setting short-term and long-term goals in various areas (academics, social life, hobbies, personal growth).
- Collaborative exercises where peers support each other in defining and refining their goals.
Confidence Building:
- Explore strategies for overcoming self-doubt and building inner strength.
- Participate in confidence-building activities such as affirmations, group challenges, and role-playing.
- Discuss positive self-talk, body language, and recognizing achievements.
Resources & Healing:
- Identify local and online resources for mental health support, academic help, and personal growth.
- Share techniques for stress management and emotional healing, including mindfulness, journaling, and relaxation exercises.
- Encourage healthy coping mechanisms for handling life's challenges.
Community Connection:
- Foster a sense of belonging and mutual support through group bonding activities.
- Create space for teens to share experiences, struggles, and triumphs in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
- Highlight the importance of connecting with peers who share similar values and challenges.
Crafting & Self-Care:

Group Format:
- Frequency: Twice monthly. Must attend two meetings minimum.
- Duration: 60-90 minutes per session.

- Facilitators: Trained peer support leaders to guide discussions and activities.

- Develop practical skills for goal-setting, confidence-building, and self-care.
