Memorial Behavioral Health presents this free training aims to strengthen collaboration between peer and clinical roles by grounding peer support in evidence, clarifying how it enhances clinical work and equipping participants with practical, relationship-centered strategies they can use immediately.- Understand how peer support enhances and informs clinical work without replacing or duplicating clinical roles.
- Recognize common barriers to peer >< clinical collaboration and apply strategies to reduce them.
- Learn concrete actions participants can take in their role to strengthen peer >< clinical partnerships.
Audience: This free event is open to Memorial Health colleagues, as well as other healthcare professionals and community members.
Speaker: Trenda Hedges, CRSS, CPRS
Bio:Trenda Hedges, CRSS, CPRS, is the founder of Peer Power LLC and a respected leader in the peer support movement. She advances recovery-oriented, value-driven practices rooted in authenticity, integrity, mutuality and transparency. Trenda is known for embodying the principles she teaches while helping systems and organizations implement peer programs with fidelity in real-world settings. She strengthens peer workforce development across multiple states and balances structure with authenticity in training and technical assistance. Her work has been featured on Crisis Jam and in SAMHSA publications. Grounded in lived experience, Trenda is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard and empowered to discover and elevate their strengths.
