In this practical training, you will gain the skills, knowledge and resources needed to implement a peer mediation scheme in your school.

• Explore approaches to understanding conflict, methods of de-escalation and the role of feelings and needs in overcoming difficulties
• Develop the skills of a peer mediation trainer, enabling pupils to mediate safely and effectively
• Learn how to ensure your scheme is successful and sustainable

Peer mediation empowers children to resolve conflicts constructively, developing essential skills in communication, empathy and problem-solving. Schools with peer mediation schemes often see improved relationships, a more positive school culture, increased pupil responsibility, and fewer low-level conflicts requiring staff intervention.
