A relaxed summer social ride from Guildford down to the coast via the Downs Link.
This ride is suitable for mountain bikes, gravel bikes, hybrids and e-bikes. It’s not a race, it’s not timed, and it’s not a serious club ride. It’s for people who want an organised, fun day out on the bike, following the old railway route towards the coast with recommended stop-offs along the way.
We’ll all meet at the start in Guildford before heading down towards the coast. The route will be shared with everyone who books, so riders can download it in advance using Komoot or their preferred route app.
Riders can settle into a pace that feels comfortable, with planned/recommended stops along the way for coffee, drinks and food. The aim is to keep the day relaxed, social and easy to follow.
We’ll finish in Brighton, where we’ll celebrate with a few drinks before getting the train home.
Tickets will be £12.50 per rider.
Ticket sales aren’t live just yet, but please click interested if this sounds like something you’d like to join. This will help me gauge numbers before the booking link goes live.
Please note: this is a social ride, not a fully supported sportive. Riders are responsible for their own bike, helmet, water, food, puncture kit, spare inner tube and travel home. There will be experienced riders in the group who can help with basic issues if needed, but everyone should come prepared to deal with simple mechanicals themselves.
