About this Event
Families are invited to "Pedal to Peak Performance," a high-energy nutrition and exercise class designed to turn healthy habits into a hands-on adventure. Participants will dive into the science of wellness by learning to identify hidden added sugars, calculate calorie balance, and experience the immediate rewards of physical activity. The highlight of the event features a blender bike—a human-powered stationary cycle that uses pedal power to mix delicious, nutrient-dense dessert smoothies without electricity. By combining movement with a tasty reward, the workshop empowers families to take control of their health through interactive education and collaborative fun. Class will be held at the Currituck Extension office from 5:30pm-7:00pm on April 21st, 2026. This class is suitable for families, no experience or athletic ability required. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
