PechaKucha Night PVD #178 - Sketch

Laugh, learn, and get inspired by a mix of people from Providence as they share their ideas, stories, and creations using the PechaKucha format of 20 images that last 20 seconds each. Named best event in Rhode Island by RI Monthly!

Parking: Park along Eddy and Richmond Street. It's downtown vibes, so we encourage you to carpool, take public transit, and come early!

Seating: This one is BYOS (Bring Your Own Seat)! There's a little bit of grass, some sidewalk, and pavement. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Food and Beverages: We won't have food OR beverage at this one, but there a few spots nearby to get food and bevs:
Dune Brothers- Open until 7pm
Guild Beer Garden - Open until 8pm
Bayberry Garden - Open until 9:30pm

Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm.

If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
