Join us Monday, January 26th in the library's auditorium for an informational community input session for a new crosswalk & sensory path by Pearson Park.
The next phase of the Mitchell and North Gateway Project, smART Kinston artists Jamil Burton & Maximillian Mozingo will present their initial designs for a sensory path, intersection mural, and creative crosswalks. This project intends to improve pedestrian safety and offer an interactive play opportunity for children to jump, hop, spin, and balance their way to or from the Loch Neuse Dragon Playground.
The project will eliminate the sense of boundary between Mitchell St. and the park, unifying the Shirley Herring Memorial Garden, the park, the neighborhood, and downtown.
