This The Peachstate PCA Region's 2024 charity volunteer event! We ask 40 special people to come forward to help us with a short 3-hour stint in the Atlanta Food Bank sorting and packing food donations. The Atlanta Community Food Bank's mission is "Feeding Neighbors. Changing Lives." Help us fight hunger in North Georgia! We had a great experience two years ago when we had this volunteer event and hope to make it even bigger and better this time.

About the Hunger Action Center:
The Hunger Action Center provides a great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Groups and individual volunteers come together to inspect, sort, and pack quality
grocery donations to prepare for distribution to nearly 700 partner agencies across Georgia.
Food Donations: With 1 in every 9 Georgians at risk of hunger, the number of people requesting emergency food assistance continues to grow. If every volunteer visiting our Hunger Action Center brings just two cans of food, we would be able to provide approximately 2,750 additional meals each month!
*Please consider bringing as many nonperishable items as you can! You're already making a tremendous difference by volunteering. Think how much that can be magnified by grabbing a couple of food items to bring with you when you come! We're always in need of natural peanut butter, canned chicken, and canned fruits & vegetables.
