It’s not officially Thanksgiving without a viewing of this animated classic! Our friends of ALL AGES are invited to the Peace Thanksgiving Family Movie Night 6-8pm Friday, Nov. 22, in the Adams Campus (church) downstairs parlor. Licensing requirements won’t allow us to advertise the actual title of the movie (Isn’t that NUTS … hint, hint?). But we know you’re smart, so here’s the description:Two slices of toast, a handful of jellybeans, some pretzels – not quite what comes to mind when you think of Thanksgiving dinner. It's not what (Red-headed girl who shares a name with the cool and chocolatey round candy treat from York) imagines either, but that's what she gets when she invites herself over to (Mostly bald male main character who has a famous beagle sidekick)'s house for a turkey-day feast. After chastising (Mostly bald male main character) for providing such a meager meal, (Red head) ends up eating more than her words and gains a few pounds of emotional sustenance. She also learns a little bit about the true meaning of the holiday. And you will, too.
We’ll enjoy the movie and then feast on all the foods our nutty animated friends enjoyed for their Thanksgiving: Jelly beans, buttered toast, popcorn, pretzel sticks and ice cream! Please join us and make this Peace Family event part of your own Thanksgiving tradition!
