Workshop Descriptions:
"Brain Health, Dementia, and the Counseling Connection" - This workshop will explore the intersection of neuroscience, brain health, and practical clinical application for counselors, therapists, and social workers. In particular, the workshop will examine dementia and neurodegenerative disorders from a practical counseling perspective, highlighting common clinical presentations and the cognitive, emotional, relational, and behavioral changes that may emerge across therapy settings, caregiving relationships, marriage and family systems, and faith-based communities.
"Let's See the Roots of the Problem" - A practical approach for an initial couples’ interview to understand the roots of interpersonal dynamics that contribute to their challenges and what neurological functions may be involved. Identifying interpersonal skills taught by family of origin to understand the dynamics and reactions that manifest for the couple. Offering psychoeducational understanding so they can adapt to healthier interactions engaging adaptive neuroplasticity.
6.0 Live Continuing Education Units available for Massachusetts Licensed LMFT, LMHC and LICSW professionals.
Lunch will be catered (Q'doba Chicken and Steak Hot Bar that includes gluten free and vegetarian options) and is included in the price of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation one week prior to workshop, by September 19th, will be a full refund less $30 Administration Fee. After September 20th, you will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for non attendance.
