Come learn about Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS). This session will assist parents with the PBIS framework used in our schools and show them how to tailor it for their home. We’ll move past the "Don't!" cycle and focus on building a home environment where expectations are clear and parents don't feel overwhelmed.What you’ll walk away with:
— We will review and create a simple chart of what "Respect, Responsibility, and Safety" look like in the different areas of the home.
— We will focus on how to use specific praise and low-cost incentives to encourage the behaviors you want to see.
— Review practical tips for smoothing out high-stress transition times like mornings and homework hour.
