While we’ll be diving into the science of recovery and how we find meaning after life’s difficult chapters, the tone of the night is one of hope and progress.

• A Live Demonstration: Witness firsthand the remarkable skills of a Puppies Behind Bars service dog. Nora Moran (PBB) will lead a live demonstration showing how these dogs are trained to provide life-changing support, transforming trauma into a shared mission of independence and confidence.
• Insights & Impact: A Droste therapist is joined by Sergeant Karolina Ostrowska-Tuznik, the Commanding Officer for the K9 Wellness Outreach & Support Unit of the NYPD’s Health and Wellness section. Together, they will lead a light yet thoughtful discussion on how we navigate trauma across our lives and the vital role of canine support in community wellness. We’ll explore "meaning-making," the process of turning our toughest experiences into a source of strength and purpose.
