Join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Monroe County for a hands-on workshop exploring the pawpaw — a remarkable fruit tree native to America with a rich history and distinctive tropical-like flavor.This workshop will include:
-- An overview of the pawpaw’s role in Indigenous, Native, and colonial diets, as well as its place in modern gardens.
-- Guidance on selecting plants, preparing soil, planting, and providing proper care.
-- An opportunity to sample this unique and delicious fruit.
Whether you are interested in food history, fruit trees, or taking on a new gardening challenge, this free session will offer valuable insights.
