📖 Ak vás zaujíma, čo všetko sa skrýva za príbehom, ktorý sa začne jednou vetou a skončí až tam, kde sa lámu dejiny, príďte na stretnutie s Pavlom Rankovom — autorom, ktorý dokáže z bežných ľudských osudov vytiahnuť tie najcitlivejšie aj najpálčivejšie momenty.
✨ Rankov je spisovateľ, ktorý nerád „uhýba“. Vo svojich knihách otvára tému historickej pamäte a to, ako sa s minulosťou dá (alebo nedá) vyrovnať. Jeho príbehy sú často o obyčajných ľuďoch postavených pred neobyčajné okolnosti, o náhode, ktorá mení smer života, aj o tom, čo všetko si nesieme so sebou, aj keď by sme najradšej neniesli nič.
Pavol Rankov je nositeľom Európskej ceny za literatúru, autor poviedok, románov a textov, ktoré sa čítajú tak, akoby boli napísané „z miesta, kde to bolí, ale kde sa oplatí pozerať“.

✨ Rankov is a writer who doesn’t like to “look away.” In his books, he opens the topic of historical memory and the ways in which we can — or cannot — come to terms with the past. His stories are often about ordinary people confronted with extraordinary circumstances, about chance that changes the course of a life, and about everything we carry with us, even when we’d rather carry nothing at all.
Pavol Rankov is a recipient of the European Union Prize for Literature and the author of short stories, novels, and texts that read as if they were written “from a place where it hurts — but where it’s worth looking.”
