Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a different kind of birding experience. Our "Pause, Look & Listen" series incorporates a mindful birding approach to observing birds and being in nature. This is an opportunity to connect with nature in a small-group setting that encourages personal observation and reflection. We will spend the first part of the trip sitting as a group to observe what birds we can see and hear while being stationary. This provides the opportunity to learn from each other while allowing birds to come to us. We will be walking less than 1/4 mile on smooth pavement and/or gravel paths with little to no incline. Then we will explore the Festival grounds at a slow pace, as we continue to discuss the birds of this riparian habitat.
Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L499524
