A fun, candid, science-backed conversation about women’s changing bodies, hormones, pelvic floor health, and more.
About this Event

This isn’t a menopause lecture. It’s a conversation about women’s changing biology and how it impacts their biography.

PAUSE is an intimate afternoon created for women who want better information, better questions, and a clearer understanding of what may be changing in their bodies through midlife.

We’ll talk honestly about hormonal health, perimenopause and menopause, pelvic floor health, changing science, treatment options, and the things women are too often left to piece together through friends, internet searches, social media, and trial and error.

You’ll hear from a physician specializing in hormonal health, receive resource from a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor health, and from me, Stephanie Everett, a wellness professional whose own ovarian cancer diagnosis led to sudden surgical menopause.

But this will not be a day of sitting quietly through a lecture.

PAUSE is designed to be interactive, candid, thoughtful, and fun!

You’ll have space to ask questions, hear different perspectives, connect with other women, enjoy lunch, and leave with a PAUSE kit that provides practical information you can use in conversations with your own healthcare providers.

My hope is that you leave saying:

“Why did nobody tell me this?”
“I finally know what to ask my doctor.”
“I better understand what truly deserves my attention.”
“Wow, I feel like I'm not alone navigating this chapter of my life.”

What we’ll talk about

Topics may include:

  • Hormonal changes through perimenopause and menopause
  • Why symptoms can be complex and highly individual
  • What hormone testing can and cannot tell us
  • How the conversation around hormone therapy has evolved
  • Hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options
  • Pelvic floor health and symptoms women often assume they simply have to live with
  • Changes in bladder function, sexual health, strength, sleep, mood, cognition, and body composition
  • Bone and muscle health through midlife
  • How to ask better questions and advocate for yourself in healthcare settings

This event is educational in nature and is not intended to diagnose or treat individual medical conditions.

The experience

Your ticket includes:

  • Admission to the full PAUSE discussion
  • Lunch and complementary Meno-Mosas & Bloody Hot Flashs
  • Access to different professional perspectives
  • Interactive discussion and Q&A
  • Take-home educational resources + PAUSE Kit
  • Time to joyfully connect with other women in the room around a topic that impacts us all

A private bar will also be available for guests who would like to purchase mocktails, cocktails, mimosas, or other beverages.

Who is this for?

PAUSE is designed for women who:

  • Are experiencing changes they do not fully understand
  • Are approaching or navigating perimenopause or menopause
  • Want to better understand hormonal health before problems arise
  • Want resources on pelvic floor health
  • Feel like they have received conflicting information about women’s health
  • Want better questions to bring into medical appointments
  • Prefer thoughtful, science-backed information over random internet advice
  • Enjoy learning in a social, relaxed, and judgment-free environment

You do not need to be in menopause to benefit from this conversation.

In fact, one of the reasons PAUSE exists is because many of us wish we had understood these topics earlier.

Meet the speakers
Dr. Adrienne Towsen

Dr. Adrienne Towsen brings the medical and hormonal-health perspective to PAUSE.

Her work focuses on helping women better understand hormonal changes, treatment options, and the many ways midlife health can affect how women feel and function.

At PAUSE, Adrienne will help us move beyond oversimplified messages about hormones and into a more thoughtful conversation about current science, individual risk, symptom management, and informed decision-making.

Stephanie Everett, M.Ed., CHC

Stephanie Everett is the founder of Total Evolution Health & Transition LLC and the creator and host of PAUSE.

Her own experience with ovarian cancer led to surgical menopause and a very abrupt education in a part of women’s health she realized many women are never adequately prepared for.

Stephanie created PAUSE because she believes women deserve more honesty around midlife health. She’ll candidly share her own experience and everything she had to learn afterward, helping create the kind of conversation many women wish had started years earlier.

Receive thoughtfully curated pelvic floor health resource from Chelsea Turgeon, PT

Chelsea Turgeon is a physical therapist with expertise in pelvic floor health.

Pelvic floor concerns are incredibly common, but many women do not realize that symptoms such as leaking, heaviness, discomfort, pressure, increased risk of UTIs or changes in sexual function may deserve evaluation and support.

Chelsea's information can help make this topic approachable, practical, and much less taboo.

What makes PAUSE different

PAUSE is intentionally small.

Only 20 women will be in the room.
