Spanning four and a half decades, Paula Saponaro’s work is a dynamic exploration of color, structure, and artistic discipline. Her retrospective showcases a seamless dialogue between graphic design, printmaking, painting, drawing, and collage—each piece distinct yet undeniably hers.
From the expressive landscapes of Things Unpainted (Watering the Sheep) to the bold silkscreens of Atmospherix and the evocative imagery of Some Women (Moonwalk), Saponaro’s artistic language remains cohesive through shifting mediums and palettes. Even as her work moves into vibrant, high-color compositions like Studio Cat, her signature approach to form and concept is unmistakable.
