Experience the ONLY Paul Rudolph-designed interior open to the public in New York City. The Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture hosts our monthly open house at the Rudolph-designed Duplex within the Modulightor Building - a set of spaces which show Rudolph's mastery of architectural interiors.Rudolph co-founded Modulightor to create the kind of lighting he needed to compliment his own work - and then designed its glowing headquarters in the design district of mid-town Manhattan: a masterwork of high Modernism, embracing compositional complexity and layered space while supporting multiple functions. Explore the space - furnished with unique furniture designed by Rudolph as well as many items from his personal collections.
Docents are on hand to provide information and answer questions. Space is limited so reserve your place today - and make sure to bring your camera and sketchbook!
