Drummer and percussionist Paul Hannah has spent a lifetime in the pocket. Raised in Las Vegas and schooled on its bandstands through the old apprentice system, he went on to a Broadway touring career spanning 25 productions, more than 5,000 shows, and 7.5 million people. On July 11th, he turns to the music he loves most. His new Green Hill Music album, Knocks Me Off My Feet: A Jazz Tribute to the Music of Stevie Wonder (out August 21), reimagines Wonder’s catalog with lean, horn-driven arrangements and a global rhythmic palette. Lead single “Do I Do” has already drawn international praise as “a sound that welcomes the listener,” while Green Hill calls Hannah “a world-class drummer with deep jazz roots.”
