PAUL ARTHUR (lead vocals/harmonica), is a successful Award-Winning Montreal Blues singer who brings his energy & amazing talent to every performance.
Paul’s powerful gravelly voice has been compared to Joe Cocker, Johnny Winter, Louis Armstrong, & Tom Waits, and his harmonica style to the late great Little Walter & Paul Butterfield, but Paul Arthur is definitely unique, with a style all his own.
Paul Arthur has been called "The Master Bluesman" by some of the top musicians in the Montreal Blues Community.
It's also been said that: “Paul Arthur is still one of the best at doing the Muddy Waters style Chicago Blues feel.”
Paul Arthur performs the popular Blues classics, but he also loves to sing some of the earliest Blues tunes of the 1950's!
Paul has a great passion for the old time Bluesmen like Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, & Willie Dixon.
ANDREW COWAN, (guitarist/vocals), has been playing the Blues with Paul Arthur for many years, and is the perfect accompanist for him.
These talented musicians complement each other in both their musical style and feel of each tune they perform.
Andrew has been entertaining audiences for years with the Stephen Barry Band, and has performed all over the world at many Blues & Jazz Festivals, Outdoor Shows, and Corporate Events.
With The Paul Arthur Duo, you get a bit of everything ‘Bluesy’, – from Delta, Chicago & Memphis, to Louisiana Blues.
This talented Duo will perform songs about love & loss, urban strife, hard times, humour, and romance, each sung from the heart & with a deep passion and love of the ‘Blues’.
