The introduction of advanced 3D imaging has forever changed our perception of human anatomy, increasing exponentially the ability to diagnose and treatment plan. CBCT serves as the foundational tool to understand individual patient presentations to aid in determining appropriate treatment options. Interactive treatment planning software has continued to take advantage of improvements in computing hardware and processor speed required to complete complex tasks in the 3-D digital world. The implementation of artificial intelligence has provided additional opportunities to aid in the diagnostic process by solving repetitive tasks in far less time than prior means. Once such labor-intensive 3-D operations involved separating objects based on their density values known as “segmentation” used to separate the mandible from the maxilla, the tooth and roots from the alveolar bone, and help create virtual surface models that can be exported for 3-D printing. This invaluable tool has been greatly enhanced through AI implementation making it easier to integrate surface models into the digital workflow for fabrication of surgical guides and much more. This didactic and hands-on workshop will illustrate how these advanced tools can aid in the design of surgical guides for implant placement followed by the implementation of intra-oral photogrammetry for improved accuracy and fit of transitional and final restorations.

• How advanced segmentation provides unparalleled surface modeling for use in the diagnostic phases and for 3D printing of surgical guides and models;

• Integration of IOS and intraoral photogrammetry to enhance accuracy of transitional and full-arch monolithic zirconia restorations
