I am so excited to be teaching at the Estes Park Wool Market again this year. Here's the description for the workshop:
Spend a day exploring two classic pattern-weaving techniques that create bold design on simple looms. In the morning we’ll work krokbragd, a dense Norwegian pick-up structure known for graphic blocks and color play. In the afternoon we shift to overshot, using warp floats and plain weave to create a larger central design. You’ll leave with samples, a working understanding of how each type of pattern is built, and fresh ideas for using structure and color in small weavings or inspiration to take these techniques to a bigger loom.
