Let's run it back South Carolina! On April 26, 2025, the Swamp Fox Chapter of the Air and Space Forces Association, a non-profit organization, will partner with the YMCA of Sumter and
the Shaw Air Force Base Sergeants Association for the first annual Patriot's Wounded Warrior 5K. This event was a phenomenal success last year and we can do it even this year.
In addition to donating all proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Air Force Wounded Airman Program (global mission), we are excited to announce we added our very own local wounded warrior program, Hidden Wounds, as a beneficiary. So come on out to our family-friendly venue aimed at welcoming all age groups. The 5K run, walk, jog etc will be held at Patriot’s Park starting at 9am. Registration will begin
at 8 am.
Furthermore, all proceeds raised from sponsorship, registration and t-shirt sales will be donated to the above listed beneficiaries as well. As most of you already know, our wounded warriors made many sacrifices for our country and now they need the community’s support. Our warriors and their families desire nothing more than to piece their lives back together again and the opportunity to have access to long-term specialized medical care, transportation assistance, personalized housing and life-changing programs to rebuild.
