Patriot Day Run 2026

Join us as we partner with the City of Savannah for this year's Patriot Day Run, a 5K Memorial Run that will take place at Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah.
Registration is OPEN NOW! Includes a custom medal, bib and t-shirt.
- Non DoW ID Card Holders: $30
- DoW ID Card Holder (Active Duty, Vets, First Responders & Immediate Family): $20
Registration closes August 17!
Missed the registration deadline? You’re still invited to participate! Registrations received after August 17 are welcome to join the run, but shirts and medals are only guaranteed for those registered by the deadline. Limited merchandise will be available for purchase after the run while supplies last.
Please be sure to pick up either Thursday or Friday at the designated locations to receive your packet.
Participants who have registered for the Patriot Day Run 5K can pick up their race packets ahead of the event day at Fleet Feet locations in Savannah & Pooler, at Newman Physical Fitness Center (Fort Stewart), and Tominac Physical Fitness Center (Hunter Army Airfield).
Race packet pickup times for all locations are:
• Thursday, September 3, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
• Friday, September 4, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Please Note: To help ensure a smooth event experience for all participants, day-of packet pick-up will not be available. Runners must pick up their packets at one of the four designated locations prior to the event.

Things to Leave at Home. Please Do Not Bring:
- Glass containers
- Suitcases and rolling bags
- Flammable liquids, aerosols, fuels, fireworks or explosives
- Inline or quad roller skates, skateboards, or bicycles
- Vulgar or obscene flags, banners, signs, or clothing/attire
Running with a UNIT?
If you are running with your unit, please make sure to indicate which unit you are with on your registration form. Units, please have your POC contact the event coordinator to let us know your unit is running together.

What age must purchase ticket?
Children may participate but are not require a purchased ticket. Please note: Medals/bibs/shirts will not be provided unless they have a paid registration.
Can I run without receiving a medal or shirt?
Yes! Everyone is welcome to join for race day, please note that ONLY registered runners will receive a bib, medal and t-shirt.
What things should I NOT bring?
Prohibited items List:
- Glass containers
- Vaping, tobacco and alcohol
- Bicycles, Skateboards and Rollerblades
- Suitcases and rolling bags
- Flammable liquids, aerosols, fuels, fireworks or explosives
- Inline or quad roller skates, skateboards, or bicycles
- Vulgar or obscene flags, banners, signs, or clothing/attire
What can I bring?
- Comfortable running attire and shoes
- Cell phone for amazing photo opportunities
- Sunscreen, hydration system, protection from chafing, weather appropriate jacket
Can my dog participate?
Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and well behaved.
Is this a stroller-friendly race?
YES - We want to see you out there with your kiddos!
Will there be restrooms? What about water points?
There are no restrooms on the course. Restrooms can be used before and after the race in Forsyth park. We will offer multiple waterpoints along the course route.
When is Packet Pick-Up?
Packet pick up will be available at several locations before race day as well as the morning of the race starting at 6AM.
Can I change my race registration?

Is this a timed race?
No, there is no official timing of this race.
Is there anything to do after the race?
Join us for Finish Fest Attractions!
- Located along Gwinett Street and Forsyth Park lawn: Live music by the 3rd Infantry Division Band, military & first responder static displays, opportunities to learn more about MWR & upcoming recreation opportunities & services, food trucks & vendors, meet your sponsors & more!

How do I get from parking to event site?
Use downtown Savannah garages or lots near Forsyth Park. Parking updates will be shared closer to the event.
We are looking for individuals or groups who are enthusiastic and want to cheer on the runners!
