Patrick Wolff is a saxophonist and clarinetist with deep roots in the jazz scenes of New York City and San Francisco, known for his lyrical playing and deep engagement with the full lineage of jazz styles. He has performed with renowned artists such as Matt Wilson, Albert "Tootie" Heath, Grant Stewart, and Louis Moholo-Moholo, and since relocating to San Francisco in 2009, has been a frequent collaborator with Marcus Shelby, Richard Sears, Adam Shulman, and Diana Gameros. As a bandleader, he has released six albums, leading ensembles that showcase both his original compositions and repertoire from the bebop and hard bop eras. A dedicated educator and advocate, Wolff teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the College of San Mateo, and the Stanford Jazz Workshop, and previously hosted the weekly KCSM radio show Have You Heard, spotlighting emerging and underrated jazz voices.
