Patrick Radden Keefe is one of the most powerful writers of non-fiction at work today, the author of previous international prize-winners Say Nothing and Empire of Pain. His most recent book takes as its starting point the death of a young man on the banks of the River Thames in 2019: Zac Brettler, who fell to his death from a high-rise apartment building on Millbank.
