Pathways of Patriotism traces the enduring influence of America’s founding ideals—liberty, civic duty, and democratic participation—through the lens of Jackson County’s history. From the region’s early Indigenous Potawatomi presence to the arrival of Revolutionary War veterans, the exhibit highlights how these foundational values were carried forward by settlers who helped build the community. It also explores Jackson’s important role in major national movements, including abolition and civil rights, demonstrating how local actions contributed to broader change across the country.
Located at the historic Jackson Amtrak Station, the exhibit is free to the public during Museum Day and beyond, thanks to the support of America250MI. Visitors are encouraged to stop in, reflect on Jackson County’s rich civic legacy, and discover how its story continues to shape America today.
