Join us at Naples Therapeutic Riding Center for the PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) Workshop, October 9–11, 2026.
This three-day workshop is a required onsite component of the PATH Intl. ESMHL certification process and is designed for equine professionals interested in supporting equine-assisted mental health and learning programs.
A PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning plays an essential role in protecting the safety and well-being of the equine while serving as the equine expert during equine-human interactions. ESMHLs work alongside mental health professionals and educators to help create safe, thoughtful, and meaningful experiences that are typically unmounted.
For those who want a career that combines horsemanship, collaboration, service, and purpose, becoming an ESMHL can be incredibly rewarding. This role allows equine professionals to use their knowledge of horse behavior, communication, and welfare to help create experiences that support learning, personal growth, connection, and emotional well-being.
Participants will receive specialized, practical training with PATH Intl. evaluators Sandy Webster and Antoinette DeGruccio. Lunch and snacks will be provided by the host site at no additional cost.
