Créations In Vivo présente PATENTEUSES, une toute nouvelle comédie musicale franco-ontarienne. Marielle, Lucile, Dorothée et Rita vivent à Saint-Cibole en mille-neuf-cent-c’est-lousse. En cherchant à comprendre où disparaissent leurs maris, elles découvrent l’existence d’une puissante société secrète canadienne-française réservée aux hommes : La Patente. Fondée en 1926 à Vanier, en Ontario, cet ordre a travaillé dans l’ombre pendant près de quarante ans pour organiser et protéger le patrimoine du Canada français.
Elles se déguisent en prêtres et infiltrent l’ordre. C’est là qu’elles découvrent que le patrimoine est en danger. Plutôt que de rester à la maison pendant que tout se décide dans le secret et dans l’exclusion, elles décident que le patrimoine se sauve à voix haute, et partent en tournée le chanter partout où règne la Patente.
Il y aura une causerie avec les artistes après la représentation.
Ce spectacle est présenté en collaboration avec le Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario.

Créations In Vivo presents PATENTEUSES, a brand-new Franco-Ontarian musical. Marielle, Lucile, Dorothée and Rita live in Saint-Cibole sometime in the nineteen-somethings. Trying to understand where their husbands keep disappearing to, they discover the existence of a powerful French-Canadian secret society reserved for men: La Patente. Founded in 1926 in Vanier, Ontario, this order operated in the shadows for nearly forty years to organize and protect French-Canadian heritage.
Our leading ladies disguise themselves as priests and infiltrate the order. That’s where they discover their heritage is in danger. Rather than staying home while everything is decided in secrecy and exclusion, they decide that heritage must be saved out loud, and set off on tour to sing it everywhere La Patente reigns.
There will be a Q&A session with the performers after the show.
This performance is presented in collaboration with the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario.
