I’d like to invite you to my solo musical show next Saturday night. I’ll be playing and singing a variety of music in various genres using my acoustic and electric guitars and my guitar synthesizer.
Also, I will be playing under my new stage name:

What:
State 28 has reasonably priced and excellent Texas homestyle cuisine, very friendly service, and a well-supplied bar. They have live acoustic shows every Friday and Saturday night.
Background:
I had to turn down 4 band opportunities over the last couple years. This was mostly due to work demands and wanting to be available for my wife who was diagnosed with cancer. Thank God, she is currently cancer free! Thanks to all who may have had her in your thoughts and prayers.
Musically, it has been a liberating experience. Now when I have time to play, I’m learning songs from various genres just for enjoyment. Also had time to take few guitar and vocal lessons and otherwise enhance my musical knowledge and skills.
OK, what’s with Calvin Ball? The idea is that when I finally get to play my guitar, I have a psychotic break. All my worries and responsibilities are erased, and I enter a musical world where there are no rules.
I only play what I feel like at the time, and I only care if I like how it sounds. This is awesome at home, but I guess I’ll find out how it works in public!
The name comes from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. The boy and his stuffed tiger invented a game called “Calvinball” where you make up the rules as you go and you can’t play the same way twice.
Thus I am “The Unruly” Calvin Ball.
If you can’t make it, well God bless you anyway! Calvin rules you still win.
