Accomplished pianist, composer, producer, arranger, teacher, and highly respected studio musician Pat Coil pays tribute to the legendary keyboardist and composer Lyle Mays. Mays, a longtime collaborator with and member of the Pat Metheny Group, along with Metheny composed and arranged nearly all of the group’s music, for which Mays won eleven GRAMMY Awards.
In this one-of-a-kind show, Pat Coil, a close friend of Lyle’s, honors Lyle’s musical contributions with a tribute to his musical lineage. With international touring credits that currently include Michael McDonald, and have included Carmen McCrae, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Woody Herman, Larry Carlton and Olivia Newton John, Pat’s musical diversity of jazz, R&B, pop, country, and gospel will be on full display for this special evening of music! Pat will be joined by an all-star band that includes Danny Gottlieb on drums, Beth Gottlieb on percussion, Don Aliquo on sax, and Craig Nelson on bass.
