Pastured poultry can be a great regenerative enterprise. Hear from the farmers making it work!
In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore the challenge of selecting, feeding and housing pastured poultry for meat and eggs in a high welfare and regenerative context.
Hear more about the key practices and principles of rearing pastured poultry and learn about building designs, feed, processing and routes to market.
We’ll also hear from farmers from around the country who are rearing broilers, layers and turkeys on pasture. Let's see how they're making it work and learn from their mistakes. Moving outside, you’ll also get to see the newly built egg mobile at FarmED and learn about our egg-row forestry system.
To get you in the mood for an afternoon of discussions on pastured poultry, the workshop will start with a chance to taste the results by enjoying a lunch of local pastured chicken accompanied by seasonal veg from the Kitchen Garden at FarmED.
