About this Event
RSSB is hosting a number of webinars you can watch remotely, while having the opportunity to engage and ask questions about key updates and initiatives.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ladbroke Grove accident of 1999 was a key accident in our history. It led to improvements in the way we tackle SPADs and sped the development of the Train Protection and Warning System. As a result, SPAD risk came down, but SPADs remain an issue for GB rail.
In this webinar, we will describe the accident, what happened and what came next. But we will also cover the current picture of SPAD risk, how this is tackled by the industry today and how it might tackle it tomorrow.
Our Speakers:
- Jonathan Cole, Operations Standards Specialist, Southeastern
- Chris Harrison, Futures Lab Systems Engineer, RSSB
- Rupert Lown, Chief Health and Safety Officer, Network Rail
- Greg Morse, RHSS Editor and Operational Feedback Lead, RSSB
- Joe Wilson, Strategy Manager, RSSB
There will be an opportunity for live Q&A with our speakers. Please note: the webinar will be recorded but if you wish to ask a question you can do so anonymously.
To join this webinar, please register your place using the 'Reserve a spot' button above, and the webinar link will be sent to you in the confirmation email.
