Pasion Dance Company Presents: Manariwa

Manariwa roots in the Oceania word “mana” meaning power and a sense of inheritance, and Tagalog word “sariwa” meaning crisp and fresh, and refers to the gifts and qualities that are passed onto the next generation. 

Manariwa is a performance ritual that physicalizes the ancestral dreamland, and dances through the subconscious by way of shared waters and generational migration remembrances. Together we listen into our collective pulsation, embrace the unknown, and embody the storytelling of today.
