Halloween is the second-best Irish holiday!
As it is based on the Irish feast of Samhain, Halloween will be celebrated by the Boyle Theater Guild (the people who brought you the “Calypso: Episode 4 of James Joyce’s Ulysses” radio play) by offering a live presentation of tales of the doolahawn, the pookah and the banshee, as well as other Irish beasties and baddies.
Join Mamó Samhain as she corrals her storytellers into regaling these tales of Irish myth and mystery for you.
There will be raffles (chance auctions and 50/50) and food for sale.
There is no admission, but donations are warmly welcomed. No trick; just treats.
Caveat: tales of the dead walking, ghosts screaming and headless spirits … might be too intense for younger viewers.
