Party on the Plaza Summer
2026 Concert Series
Every Friday from 6 - 7 PM
Admission is FREE
We’re excited to bring back Party on the Plaza, our summer concert series at PNC Plaza at The Civic. This cozy patio beside Akron Civic Theatre on South Main Street is the perfect spot for live music and Friday night gatherings all season long!
Jordan A. Wilson, born in Cincinnati, OH, and raised in Carrollton, KY, is a dynamic artist blending nostalgic rhythms with fresh originality. A self-taught guitarist, he began playing at 14, performing solo, in church, and at talent shows. His breakthrough came when veteran Kentuckiana musicians Jimmy Davis and Kerry Mefford discovered him at a church showcase. Over the years, Jordan became a key figure in the Cincinnati music scene, collaborating with artists like Joseph Nevels (now Los Angeles), Lauren Eylise, and as a member of KNOTTS, while also leading his own band, the Jordan Wilson Coalition.
Based in Madison, IN, the Coalition fuses Blues, Alt-Rock, R&B, Soul, and Funk—what Jordan calls “Alt-Blues, Rock’N’Soul.” His soulful vocals, fiery guitar, and a powerhouse rhythm section featuring Danny Lee Cook (Nulydedz), Kerry Mefford (Young Country), and David “Woody” Woodmansee (The Low Glow) are a blending of Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix with alt-rock seasonings. The band has been billed with Patti LaBelle, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Eric Gales, Mr. Sipp and Ronnie Baker Brooks at venues like the Rose Center (Dayton, OH), Heritage Bank Center, Megacorp Pavilion, Memorial Hall (Cincinnati) and more.
Their debut full length LP Counting Green Cars released in May 2025 with Montreal-native, Louisville, KY-based engineer/producer extraordinaire, Anne Gauthier (Ray LaMontagne, GRLwood) at the helm. The band continues to electrify audiences across the KY-OH-IN scene and beyond.
