Larry Lee & Back in the Day Band is a powerhouse ensemble of elite musicians, delivering the best of Motown, R&B, funk, and soul. Founded by legendary bassist Larry Lee—a former NFL player, NFL executive, and accomplished professional musician—he brings passion, excellence, and energy to everything he does.
Over the course of 16 years in the NFL, Larry spent eight as a player with the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Denver Broncos (including an appearance in Super Bowl XXII) and eight as Vice President of the Detroit Lions, establishing himself as a leader both on and off the field.
The band unites top-tier talent—artists who have performed with icons such as The Temptations, The Spinners, The Dramatics, The Contours, and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas—and even includes a Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee among them. Lakeside, and many more.
We encourage attendees to show up early for beer, seltzers, and other refreshments available for purchase, and to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the show.
