Park(ing) Day

Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.

This year, we are bringing this event to Uptown! Participants will take over street parking on Tryon Street and offer activities, swag, and furnishing to hang out. Grab your lunch, a coffee, and/or some friends and discover how people can reclaim public space.

This event is free and drop-in style from 9am-3pm, so stop by in-between meetings, during your lunch break, or send some emails from the comfort of our parklet!
