Enjoy an evening under the stars with fun programming, guided explorations and some tasty treats from the La Abejita food truck and an ice cream truck beginning at 6 p.m. And be sure to secure your limited-edition Bays Mountain Park After Dark sticker at the gift shop.The evening’s activities will include:
A Hike to Sentinel Point -
Participants will meet at the Nature Center at 6:45 p.m. with a 7 p.m. start for a guided hike to Sentinel Point – one of Kingsport’s most iconic landmarks. This four-mile round trip journey is estimated to take up to three hours.
Limit of 15 people and participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and bring water and a flashlight. Cost is $10 per person.
Barge Ride and Night at the Nature Center -
Enjoy a cool evening ride around the reservoir on the park’s barge, listening to the sounds of the nearby wildlife. A unique experience will be had by everyone.
The Night at the Nature Center allows you to meet some new animal friends, interact with biofacts and enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate. Cost is $10 per person and the events take place at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.
