Everyone welcome to find out more about the campaign to create a St Albans City Centre (including Sopwell) Parish Council. St Albans District Council will be scrapped in 2028 - and unless we act now all the unparished areas in the city centre will lose their local voice. We will have a new authority somewhere like Watford or Luton - UNLESS WE ACT NOW TO GET A LOCAL VOICE.
Right now the council are running the second stage of the consultation on this matter - called the Community Governance Review (CGR).
Come along to hear more from Mary Coneely the Chair of St Albans Civic Society which is co-ordinating the campaign - and giving information out to residents.
