ABOUT YOUR GUIDE CAMILLE AND THE "VOULEZ-VOUS PARIS AVEC MOI?" STREET-ART TOURS
I'm Camille, a street-art guide specializing in short, fun tours ideal for families, even with young children!
Created in 2018, my street-art tours have been recommended by several TV shows (France TV; M6) and magazines (ELLE; M Le Monde; L'Express).
For Parisians as well as French and foreign tourists, they've become the trendy way to discover Paris with family and friends, children and teenagers.
It's an unusual and fun way to learn about Paris and have fun at the same time!
ABOUT THIS MONTMARTRE STREET-ART TOUR
Enjoy an introduction to street-art and (re)fall in love with Paris' most romantic neighbourhood with my guided tour "Street-art & Space Invaders in Montmartre".
DISTANCE: approx. 3 km
TIME: approx. 2 hours
KIDS-FRIENDLY? Yes, of course! But please be careful: Montmartre is full of stairs, which can make it difficult to get there with a pushchair. If you are planning to come with a pushchair or wheelchair, please send me an email at [email protected] to let me know, so that I can adapt the route accordingly.
On this tour, young and old alike turn up their noses to discover that the beautiful and the unusual are hidden around every corner, ready to make every urban exploration magical. Follow me on this unusual tour of Montmartre to :
DISCOVER STREET-ART WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Street by street, I teach you where to find the best street art in Montmartre and how to unearth the most surprising works: stencils by MissTic and Nô; casts by Gregos; street furniture hijackings by Clet Abraham and Cyklop; mosaics by K-Bal and Dona, Mr Djoul... and, of course, the master of pixel art: the great Invader.
Who's behind these works of urban art? How do street artists create? Why do they choose to express themselves illegally? How can you recognize the work of a particular artist? I'll teach you how to decipher this resolutely modern artistic movement, and how to question art and the emotions it arouses.
To get a feel for the techniques used by street artists, kids are invited to try their hand at spray painting and stenciling using my special method... guaranteed spotless and perfectly legal! HUNT PIXEL ART SPACE INVADERS
Add up to 16 pixel art monsters to your collection, and earn 410 points with the FlashInvaders smartphone game!
Invader is one of France's best-known street artists. And he's certainly the favourite of video game fans, treasure hunt lovers.
For over 25 years, this artist has been sticking little mosaic monsters made from squares of tiles onto the streets of Paris.
These little creatures are directly inspired by the Space Invaders video game he played as a child.
This video game, now vintage, has retained the same cult status as PacMan, and children love it!
Since 2014, the artist has been offering walkers the chance to collect his little monsters by catching them with their phones using the FlashInvaders app-game. It's a sort of retro, arty Pokemon Go that has already won over nearly 400,000 fans around the world.
With over 80 cities invaded and a thousand anecdotes that I love to tell you along the way, Invader turns our city walks into incredible adventures!
The game is the main thread running through my visit, with over 15 Space Invaders to catch throughout this hunt for street and pixel art. It's a great way to boost your FlashInvaders score by over 400 points, while still having the pleasure of finding them yourself.
If you'd like to enjoy some screen-free time with your loved ones, don't worry - you'll have plenty of fun spotting them with just your eyes, treasure hunt style. EXPLORE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOTS OF MONTMARTRE
I invite you to take an original tour of Montmartre, alternating between the district's must-see places and the little secret streets that make it so charming.
Dalida's house, the Moulin de la Galette, the Passe-Muraille, the Maison Rose, the Vigne de Montmartre or the Lapin Agile... These are the places that have made Montmartre the favourite bohemian village of up-and-coming painters. Thanks to the anecdotes I'll be sharing with you in small chunks, while taking care to arouse the curiosity of the youngest visitors, they'll have no secrets for you.
A TAILOR-MADE TOUR FOR A WALK THAT'S JUST LIKE YOU
Each visit is an opportunity for me to meet people who are always unique. Each work of urban art is an opportunity to talk to you about your stories, your knowledge and your tastes. Over the last 6 years, I've got into the habit of adapting each visit to the wishes of my group, making each of these explorations very special. Just like you.
MEETING POINT - START POINT: At the Pigalle metro exit, in front of the Morris billboard column (the one on the central reservation, opposite the Bouillon Pigalle, with the high-up cinema and theatre posters). Please send me a message on 07 60 77 11 15 once your booking has been confirmed. This will make it easier for us to meet on the day, and will also allow us to discuss your needs and wishes, so that we can tailor the visit to suit you.
END POINT: To let you enjoy Montmartre at your leisure after the walk, I'll leave you in front of the Sacré-Coeur church. From there, you can decide to stroll at your own pace through the narrow streets around the Basilique, or take a seat on one of the many lovely terraces on Place du Tertre to admire Parisian life and the work of the legendary portrait painters.
