Paris Jazz Experience is a boutique jazz singing immersion designed for singers who want to deepen their artistry, build confidence, and experience the joy of making music in Paris.

Over five days, you'll work in a small group of just eight participants, exploring jazz phrasing, rhythm, interpretation, improvisation, stage presence, and musical communication through daily vocal sessions, rehearsals with a professional live band, and a final public concert.

This is more than a singing workshop. It is an opportunity to step away from your everyday routine, immerse yourself in music, connect with like-minded singers from around the world, and experience Paris through its vibrant jazz scene.

Whether you're new to jazz or already have experience, this immersion is designed to help you become a more confident, expressive, and authentic performer in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Why Paris Jazz Experience?

There are many jazz workshops. Paris Jazz Experience was created to offer something more personal, immersive, and performance-driven.

With only eight participants, you'll receive individual guidance while becoming part of a supportive community of singers who share your passion for jazz.

Each day combines focused vocal training with practical musical experiences. You'll strengthen your understanding of jazz through interpretation, phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, and ensemble work before bringing everything together in rehearsals with a professional live band.

Beyond the studio, you'll experience Paris through its renowned jazz scene. Throughout the week, you'll have the opportunity to join the group for jam sessions, live music, swing dancing, and cultural experiences. On several evenings, those who feel ready will also have the opportunity to step onto the stage and sing with local musicians, applying what they've been working on during the day in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The week concludes with a live public concert accompanied by a professional jazz band—a chance to bring everything together and share your music with an audience in Paris.

This isn't about becoming a different singer in five days. It's about giving yourself the time, guidance, and experience to take meaningful steps forward as an artist.

Who This Experience Is For

This experience is designed for singers who:

• feel drawn to jazz and want to become more confident within the style

• want to improve phrasing, rhythm, interpretation, improvisation, and musical communication

• are ready to move beyond overthinking and become more expressive in performance

• would like the experience of rehearsing and performing with a professional live band

• enjoy learning in a small, supportive community where every participant has space to grow

You don't need to be a professional singer. However, you should feel comfortable singing in front of others and be ready to participate actively throughout the week.

19:00 — Welcome evening at a legendary Chez Papa Jazz Club

Welcome drink included. Dinner at your own expense.

Thursday • 8 October

10:00–13:00 — Group Session

Afternoon — Josephine Baker Tour (optional)

Evening — Free to explore Paris or join the group for an outing (TBA)

Friday • 9 October

10:00–13:00 — Group Session

15:00–17:00 — Rehearsal with the band

20h — Jam session (an opportunity to sing)

Saturday • 10 October

10:00–13:00 — Group Session

15:00–17:00 — Rehearsal with the band

20h - Swing dancing evening at the iconic Caveau de la Huchette with live band

Sunday • 11 October

Morning — Rest and personal preparation

Afternoon — Free time or optional coaching

18:30–20:00 — Final preparation and soundcheck

20:30 — Live public concert with the band in a Parisian jazz club (TBA)

Celebratory drink together after the performance.

Optional Activities

Throughout the week, participants are invited to join a variety of social and cultural activities, including jazz clubs, jam sessions, swing dancing, and the Josephine Baker tour.

Participation is optional, and each participant covers their own entrance fees, meals, drinks, or tickets where applicable.

About Your Teacher

Maja Savić is a Paris-based jazz singer and vocal coach with more than 15 years of professional experience performing and teaching internationally.

Her teaching combines solid vocal technique with artistic exploration, helping singers develop confidence, musical freedom, rhythmic awareness, improvisation, emotional expression, and authentic communication.

Throughout the week, Maja personally leads every session and performs alongside participants during the final concert.

Practical Information

Maximum participants: 8

A minimum number of participants is required for the experience to run.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included. If you'd like assistance finding the right place to stay, we work with a trusted travel agent who can help you arrange accommodation based on your preferences and budget.

Travel

Travel to and from Paris is not included. If you'd like support planning your trip, our travel agent can also assist with flights and other travel arrangements, making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Meals are not included unless otherwise specified.

Private Coaching

Private lessons with Maja are available during the week and can be booked separately, subject to availability.
