I am excited to share a new group that will start January 25th. Parents Talk Puberty is a donation-based offering or free for anyone with a Revolution Therapy and Yoga membership. January's topic will be "Human Growth & Self-Compassion". We will focus on the science of human growth and development, the unique timelines of every individual, and how this impacts self-esteem. We will include self-compassion tools for parents.
Parents Talk Puberty is a monthly group for parents focused on topics related to growth, self-esteem, and relationships. Meetings are held on Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m., beginning January 25th.
Led by Nicole Bechill and Jesslyn Sheilds, we are both MSW graduate students and parents. We are interested in creating a supportive space for parents who would like to discuss ways to support their child (and themselves) as they navigate puberty. We will explore various themes with a short lecture, then dig into the topic. Allowing reflective time to grow compassion and learn more about this incredible (and sometimes challenging) moment in the human experience.
We are looking forward to sharing this space with you!
