Youth Parents Connect (YPC) 翱翔同行

Join our supportive community of youth parents while navigating the rewarding – and sometimes challenging – journey of raising children from preteens to teens in Christian perspective. Through exploring and small group discussion of various youth parenting series, our goal is to provide a safe space where parents can:

-        Share experiences, challenges, and successes

-        Learn practical strategies for communication, discipline, and guidance

-        Build connections with other parents who understand the joys and struggles of youth parenting

-        Access trusted resources, workshops and discussion sessions

Whether you’re looking for advice, encouragement, or simply a place to connect, Youth Parents Connect is here to help you grow alongside your child and strengthen your family bonds.

Dates : 1st and 3rd Fridays (starting from Sept 19, 2025)

Venue: CCS Education Building,  Room 105

Time: 7:30pm-9:30pm

Language: Parenting material in both English and Chinese. Discussion in Cantonese.  

Capacity: maximum of 12 parents

Childcare: 3rd -5th Grade childcare is available. Youth groups (YBC and LC) are available at MC 1 and MC 2 for students 6th Grade and up

Current Program Series: Parenting Your Teenagers by Dr. Les & Leslie Parrott

Program Description: Parenting Your Teenager equips moms and dads to recognize common patterns, plan effective strategies, and build character. This 4 part video series features relationship experts Les and Leslie Parrott. And, in 24 gut-level interviews, parents and teens talk openly about rebellion, conflict, pain, and identity.

Speakers Description: Dr. Les is a professor of psychology at Northwest University and they are founders of the Center for Healthy Relationships on the campus of Olivet University. Dr. Leslie is marriage and family therapist. The Parrotts have been featured in USA Today and the New York Times. Their television appearances include CNN, The View, The O’Reilly Factor, The Today Show and Oprah.

加入我們互助的青少年家長社群，以基督教的視角，共同探索從青春期前到青春期養育孩子這段充滿回報並充滿挑戰的旅程。透過探索各種青少年育兒系列和小組討論，我們的目標是為家長提供一個安全的空間，讓他們能夠：

-分享經驗、挑戰和成功

-學習實用的溝通、管教與指導策略

-與其他理解青少年教養樂趣和挑戰的家長建立聯繫

-取得可靠的資源、研討會和討論會

無論您是想尋求建議、鼓勵，還是只是想尋求交流，YPC都能幫助您與孩子共同成長。

日期：每月第一個和第三個星期五（2025年9月19日起）

地點：CCS教育大樓105室

時間：晚上7:30-9:30

語言：青少年 教養課程系列為中及英文。以粵語討論。

容量：最多12位家長（先到先得）

兒童託管：提供3至5年級的兒童託管服務。 MC1 和 MC2設有青年小組（YBC和LC），專為6年級以上學生而設。

目前課程系列：Les博士和Leslie Parrott教授的《青少年養育》系列

課程簡介：《青少年教養》旨在幫助父母識別常見模式、制定有效策略並塑造品格。此系列課程分為4部分，非常適合小組聖經學習或研討會，由人際關係專家Les和Leslie Parrott主講。在24次直擊內心的訪談中，父母和青少年坦誠地談論叛逆、衝突、痛苦和認同。

講者簡介：Les博士是西北大學的心理學教授，他們共同創立了位於Olivet大學的健康關係中心。 Leslie博士是一位婚姻與家庭治療師。 Parrotts夫婦曾登上《今日美國》和《紐約時報》。他們也曾在CNN、《觀點》、《奧萊利實情》、《今日秀》和歐普拉脫口秀節目中亮相。
