Parasol Patrol will be on Volunteer in the Beverage Booth at Aurora Pride on August 29, 2026 at Winged Melody Park in Aurora, CO. Part of the income will be donated to the Parasol Patrol! We want to have two shifts; 10 a.m. - 2 or 3 p.m. and a later afternoon shift from 2 or 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Donations go to help shield children, youth, and families from any protesters who may be present outside this celebration.
*We need help at the info booth, beverage booth and patrolling!*
Our volunteers use colorful umbrellas to create a peaceful visual barrier from hateful signs, slurs, and intimidation, while calmly escorting families into the event. For little ones, we also provide noise-canceling ear protection to soften the shouting and bullhorns that often target inclusive community gatherings.
We are seeking calm, compassionate volunteers to stand with us and help create a corridor of love for every child attending.
No confrontation. No engaging protesters. Just steady presence, bright umbrellas, and a community showing kids they are deeply loved.
Parasol Patrol is not there for the protesters. We are there because every child deserves to enter with dignity, joy, and safety.
