The Parasol Patrol is honored to once again take part in "Pride Prom" 2025 being held at the Apex Community Center in Arvada Colorado. We will be present to welcome youth and their families to this amazing annual Pride Prom.

Parasol Patrol is a nonprofit dedicated to shielding children and young people from hostile protesters at 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC events. Using umbrellas to create a visual barrier, we guide families past harmful messages from groups like Proud Boys, Patriot Front Blood Tribe, GAG and Westboro Baptist Church. For the youngest, we provide noise-canceling ear protection to block the hateful slurs often yelled through bullhorns. Our mission is to ensure that children can walk through their communities with dignity, protected from the hate that seeks to harm them.
On Friday, 5/02/2025, Parasol Patrol will be at the Apex Community Center in Arvada ready to shield children from potential protesters. Our hope is that no protesters attend and that we can simply welcome children and families with smiles and gratitude.
It's crucial for Parasol Patrol volunteers to remember that we are not a counter-protest group. We don’t engage with protesters. While we may be present because of their actions, we are there for the kids, and that is where we focus our energy.
