Built in 1611 Alford manor house is the largest thatched manor house in the country. Visitors have claimed to have seen a male, female and two children dressed in Victorian clothing that appear and disappear. Poltergeist activity has been witnessed including doors opening and closing, objects being moved and the the smell of perfume and tobacco. Footsteps are often heard in the corridor and small children are heard running around, tugging on visitors clothing.
