Troubleshooters are supposed to be good at shooting trouble. The problem? They are also good at shooting innocents, killing each other, failing missions and causing enough material destruction that an entire sector gets labelled, ‘Oh hell no’ on mapping apps. This could be fixed by better Troubleshooter selection and training but that takes effort. Why not just mandate strict requirements for Troubleshooting duty – I dunno, something like a certification exam – and assume that fixes everything?
PARANOIA is a dystopian sci-fi RPG that contains comedy, satire, dark humour and players working against each other. It pokes some fun that the sci-fi and RPG genre. You don't need to know the rules and that's Good! Computer prefers you don't know the full logistics of this game or what you're getting in to. When you arrive, Computer will make sure you are assigned the worst best clones available. All you will need is some paper, pencils/pens, and dice but all of these can be provided by Alpha Complex on the day.
This one shot is designed to be able to be played be any players new and returning and made with new players in mind. Character creation is fun and chaotic and will start the session so you'll have your own clone you will DEFINITELY be playing all the way through, computer would never K*ll them.
